Can I litter box train my hedgehog? Some hedgehogs are very good about picking a corner of the cage and always going to the bathroom in the same spot, but most aren't. If your hedgehog picks a spot, put the litter box there and you are all set. If not, you can try picking a spot for the litter box and putting some fecal matter in it to try to train the hedgehog to use that spot.

Hedgehogs aren't very messy creatures, so we don't bother litter box training our herd. We spot clean our cages several times every week and clean them completely every week and a half.
