When I got home early this morning (I was at Val’s house until after midnight), I crossed my fingers and peeked into Almond’s hut. What I saw made me smile…. Almond was feeding all 4 babies! It was quite a sight to see; the 2 smallest babies (Shell’s babies) were on either side of the bigger babies and everyone was suckling away. No one seemed bothered by the fact that I has picked up part of the hut, but I was still careful to put the hut down quickly so I didn’t disturb anyone.
What a relief! I know I’m not out of the water yet, but at least this is a good start. For now, the foster babies are considerably smaller then Almond’s babies, so I don’t have to mark them. Once they get a little bigger, I will have to mark the with a little paint so I know which babies are which.
