Hedgehogs and Allergies

I am allergic to dogs, cats, and rabbits, but I've heard that hedgehogs are good for people with allergies, is this true?

*Most* people who are allergic to other pets are *not* allergic to hedgehogs. Of the people who think the are allergic to hedgehogs, most of them are actually allergic to the pine or aspen bedding that is often used. There are a legitimate few who are allergic to the actual hedgehog and break out into hives from them. Many people get some minor skin irritations from quill pokes (little red bumps), generally this will go away shortly after washing your hands.
