Shell has no Milk
I found on of the babies dead and outside of the hut this morning. Its belly was empty, so I opened the nest box and looked at the other 2 babies. Their bellies were empty as well. I saw them attempting to suckle on Shell, so they know what to do. I assume Shell's milk hasn't come it.

With all the chaos of the move, it would have been nice if the hedgehogs would have put some effort into trying to make their part of my life easier...... but NO......they are hedgehogs and hedgehogs never make things easy on people!

Anyway, I am fostering Shell's babies to Almond. Her 2 babies were born 2 days before Shell's babies, but they are considerably bigger (it's amazing what getting free reign of mom's milk will do for a baby). I don't know if Almond will allow the babies to nurse on her, but she is my best chance. I'll hope for the best and keep you posted.
